Rolling pins

Here is a game an occupational therapist suggested. I want to share it with you because I find it very interesting.

You will need:

  • • Rolling pins
    • Small balls

Place children so they are facing each other. They can lie down on their stomachs. It may however be preferable for smaller children to sit.

Children use their rolling pins to pass the ball back and forth. This activity requires gentleness as well as agility. I guarantee they will have fun!

For older children, you may use marbles.

Another variation for a child who wants to play alone would be to replace the ball with a roll of toilet paper. Encourage him to unroll the toilet paper by hitting the roll with the rolling pin. There will be toilet paper everywhere, what fun!
