Bowling (throwing, moving about with an object)
Required material:
- Large balls
- Empty plastic 2-liter soda bottles
This is an activity which most early childhood educators know yet often forget to use...
If you wish, you may fill the bottles with tissue paper, small peas, tiny bells, or a small quantity of diluted paint. The bottles mustn't be too heavy. Seal the caps with hot glue for added security.
Place the bottles together on the floor, standing up.
Provide large balls. Babies can throw or roll them towards the bowling pins. Have extra bottles on hand for younger babies who are content with simply observing and manipulating the bottles!
