Toilet Paper Roll Kittens
With a little prep work, this fun and simple craft works great for preschoolers. My three-year-old son really enjoyed it!
Supplies
- Empty toilet paper roll
- Glue (glue stick or glue dots)
- Scissors
- Construction paper (your kitten’s color)
- Chenille stem
- Googly eyes
- Something pink for the nose (we used craft foam)
Step One
Put glue on one side of a piece of construction paper and stick it on the toilet paper roll. Fold down the back and the front of the top of the toilet paper roll to represent your kitten’s ears.
Step Two
Use glue to stick the googly eyes just below the ears. Cut the chenille stem into three pieces. Wind two of the pieces together to create whiskers. The third piece will become your kitten’s tail.
Step Three
Use glue to attach the whiskers and the tail. We found glue dots worked great because they don’t need to dry. A glue gun would also work well.
That’s it! Simple, easy, and fun!
