Popsicle stick flowerpot
This simple craft makes a wonderful Mother’s Day gift. It’s also a great craft for practicing patterns.

Supplies
- Empty soup can
- Colored Popsicle sticks
- Double-sided tape or glue dots (I have a glue stick in the photo, but it didn’t work well! Double-sided tape worked great!)
- Ribbon
- A plant
Step One
Put a piece of double-sided tape around the top, middle, and bottom of the soup can. Next, begin sticking the Popsicle sticks around the can in whatever pattern you choose.

Step Two
Continue your pattern all the way around the can. I stuck one Popsicle stick on nice and straight and then it was easy for little hands to do the rest.

Step Three
Tie your ribbon around the Popsicle stick-covered can and make a bow. Invite children to help you set the plant in the can. My kids really enjoyed this part!
This is such a simple craft, yet the finished project looks very impressive!
