3D Ice Cream Cone
Have you ever noticed how children love to explore textures? Manipulating, touching, smelling…all sensory experiences are popular with children.
For the 3D paint, you will need:
- White glue
- Shaving cream
- Food coloring
- Paintbrushes, stir sticks, and bowls
For the ice cream cone, you will need:
- Heavy cardboard
- Scissors
- Crayons
To prepare your 3D paint, mix ¼ cup of white glue and ¼ cup of shaving cream together. Add a few drops of food coloring and stir. If you wish, prepare several different colors.
To make the ice cream cone, draw a triangle and a circle on your heavy cardboard. Have children cut out both shapes. Do this step for younger children. They will be content with painting the assembled shapes.
Once both shapes have been cut out, have children glue their circle on the upper portion of their triangle as shown in the picture below. Once assembled, the shapes will look like a simple ice cream cone.
Invite children to paint the ice cream using the 3D paint. Set aside to dry. Children will be proud of their adorable 3D ice cream cone!
Have fun!
