Pool noodle boats

Here is a fun summer craft! Play with these little boats in a kiddie pool in the yard, at the beach, or in the bathtub.

Supplies

Fun foam sheets
Pool noodle cut into small sections
Scissors
Hole punch
Plastic straws

Step One

Cut triangle shapes out of the foam sheets. They will represent sails, so cut one for each boat you plan to make.

Step Two

Use the hole punch to make a hole at the top and at the bottom of each triangle shape.

Step Three

For each sail, insert a plastic straw through both holes.

Step Four

Next, insert the bottom end of each straw into a pool noodle piece. If the straw is strong enough, you should succeed with a little twisting.

You’re ready for the fun part! Bring these little boats to the pool, bathtub, or water table. Kids will love watching their creations sail around.

Markers, scissors, and glue dots are also provided.

MyFUNvelope was created by a busy mom for busy moms! We aim to create kits that are fun for kids and stress-free for moms with little mess. I promise no glitter!!! We also send glue dots instead of glue to make it easier for smaller children to craft independently.
