A tree that children can decorate and redecorate

Fun Foam sheets, green electrical tape, a spray bottle, scissors, and a marker…that’s all you need to create a colorful and festive activity for your group!

Trace the center of your roll of electrical tape several times on bold-colored Fun Foam sheets.

Cut out the circles.

Have fun counting them, naming the colors, and sorting them with the children in your group. Notice that I used textured Fun Foam sheets. If you can find them, children love manipulating them!

Use the green electrical tape to draw a simple Christmas tree outline on a patio door or window that is at children’s level.

Fill your spray bottle with water and lightly spray the Christmas tree. Children can press the circles inside the outline to represent ornaments.  

Eventually, the decorations will fall off.

Children will love spraying water on the surface and redecorating their tree over and over again.
