Say goodbye to 2016 with these colourful fireworks!

1. Gather your material. You will need a large piece of yellow construction paper, three yellow pipe cleaners, a piece of dark felt, colourful hole reinforcements, glitter glue, hot glue and/or white glue, and scissors.

2. Glue the piece of felt in the centre of the yellow construction paper, horizontally.

3. Cut the pipe cleaners and use them to write "2016" or "2017", depending on if you wish to say goodbye to the current year or hello to the New Year. Glue the numbers in the centre of the piece of felt. Apply the adhesive hole reinforcements here and there, around the numbers.

4. Encourage children to use glitter glue to draw fireworks around the hole reinforcements, associating the glitter glue colors to the colors of the hole reinforcements. Let dry. Display on a wall.
