3 cups of flour
1 cup of salt
¾ cups of water
**Depending on the type of flour, it is sometimes necessary to add a small quantity of water.
- Combine flour and salt in a medium bowl.
- Add ¾ cups of water and mix to form a ball of dough. If the dough is too sticky, add flour. If the dough is too floury, add water.
- Remove dough from bowl and knead on a floured surface.
- Knead for 3 or 4 minutes. Store dough in an airtight container.
**Create coloured dough by adding food colouring or "Kool-Aid" powder to the water before adding it to the dry ingredients.
