How to prepare your reading corner for fall

It may be time to start thinking about fall. Here are a few ideas that will help you prepare and organize your reading corner for upcoming months. They will make it possible for little ones to make the most of books.

• Visit your local library and build a list of books that will be appropriate for each of the themes you will be exploring with your group. Librarians will be glad to help you. This will make offering a variety of books possible and you won't have to search for new books every week.
• Select a method for presenting word flashcards to your group each week (box, bag, container, photo album, displayed on a wall, with a binder ring or string, etc.).
• Display a poster listing (with the help of pictograms) the rules that must be respected in the reading corner.
